A new member of the board, Edgar is Managing Director of XLVOX Inc., a telecommunications company, helping residential and small business customers get better and more cost effective telephone services.

Founding member and incorporator. Resty holds a BSc degree in Commerce, Cum Laude. He is a Philippine Certified Public Accountant and a Canadian Certified General Accountant.

A Chemical Engineer, she is an IT professional. She is an active member of IAMAO (International Association of Mapua Alumni - Ontario). A knowledgeable and hardworking individual, she brings to the Centre technical expertise and organizational skills.

An accountant, Benny is a past chair of Kalayaan Foundation, the mother organization of Kalayaan Centre. He is one of the movers and shakers for the establishment of Kalayaan Centre.

Dr. Romy Sinajon |
Dr. Romy, opened a free medical clinic at the KCCC shortly after he took office to serve newcomers to Canada and those who have no medical insurance coverage. He is a generous contributor to KCCC.

Ben MOntada is a long time supporter of Kalayaan Centre. He often delights the Centre with his Tagalog poems during events. Ben's wife Lumi is also an active volunteer at the Centre. The Montada's are sometimes called the "ticket masters" of Kalayaan Centre because they bring the guests to the events.

Linda as the current chair of Kalayaan Foundation Organization remains a director. The Kalayaan Foundation Organization is one of the biggest supporters of the Centre.

One of the new members of the board, Chito is the volunteer 'extraordinaire' always there to lend a hand, to build the hardwood floor, to dj for events, to paint the Centre, to cook for the hungry walkathon participants.

Minnie is one of Mama Ching's angels in the last 3 years. She knows much of the operations of the Centre. As a volunteer she did many aspects of the work at the centre that makes her an effective member.

Tommy de Guia is an officer of the Lipa City Association of Canada, a member organization that helped install the carpeting in the grand hall of the centre. The organization uses the Centre's facility regularly.

Archie is always ready to help. Together with his wife, Zeny, Archie played major volunteer work at the 2008 KCCC Classic Golf Tournament, collected the most donations in the 2008 Walkathon.

Del is a Chemical Engineer, an alumnus of the University of the Philippines. He is an active community leader in the Greater Toronto Area. He is the president of the Mississauga Cooksville Club that donated $25,000 to the KCCC building fund.

Popularly known as the "father of Kalayaan", founded the Kalayaan in 1983 with the help of 7 organizations. He is a pioneer immigrant in Peel Region and is looked up to as a leader. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Zoology and Medical Technology and a Master's degree in Biological Science from the University of Toledo.

Jojo is the quintessential centre volunteer. She is the Admin Assistant, building administrator, event facilities coordinator, Mama Ching's personal assistant, cook, driver and all around player. She helps whenever and wherever help is needed.
